Book Hangovers

A book hangover.

That dazed feeling after finishing an amazingly good book that sucked you into the story and got under your skin. Even though you’ve finished reading it, it’s hard to focus on anything other than the book and its characters, and sometimes you need a break before starting a new book. An adjustment phase.

Sound familiar?

This happens to me every so often. My most recent book hangover was caused by Megan Miranda’s Fracture. It was so good that I seriously didn’t want to put it down and there were several times when I had no idea what was going on around me because I was so into the story. I love it when that happens. 🙂

I had to wait 24 hours before starting a new book simply because I needed that time to adjust. Now I’m almost fully recovered. Almost.

Are your book hangovers similar to mine? Which book caused your most recent book hangover?
